This is a painting but incorporates drawing made from my two hands. I used my hands as stencils and copied them onto the paper. This painting was completed two years ago during the pandemic and feel it is very appropriate now during these times; signaling loss of our normalcy which has become laced with the effects of a pandemic and as I write this, our current rains and flooding in Vermont. It is a diptych and each sheet of paper is approximately 12 feet by 4 feet. It was an immediate expression at the time done with urgency and immense feeling.

Yo tengo, yo no tengo meaning I have and I don't have. This is a gesso and charcoal painting with drawing on face of the surface. There is a lot of discernible words while also not easy to read. I term this type of work part of my contemporary graffiti series done with urgency and exuberance. The size of the canvas is 36" by 24".

The work takes on scrawls and lines making it expressionistic and with an immediate force of energy. This signals a malaise and ennui of life and as much as it is pessimistic the drawing shows signs of life's resilience.

Tabletop Daisies was made from observing a vase of daisies that I picked from our grounds from where we live. Every few days I bring nature to our tabletop. This is an over over painting done with rigor and intensity. The painting size is 48" x 48". and it is an contemporary

The painter is a self portrait of the artist. It resembles me as someone trying to make sense of life and it is reinterpreted by many layers with hidden notes and messages to the viewer. It is an oil on cardboard and the size of the piece is 40" x 32"
