Guest Lecture by Jacob Atem, Former "Lost Boy" of South Sudan

HDAC welcomes Dr. Jacob Atem, former "Lost Boy of Sudan" and currently a Postdoctoral fellow at the Center of Humanitarian Health, for an inspiring guest lecture.
Jacob Atem is one of the original Lost Boys of Sudan. He came to the United States when he was 15. After receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Michigan, he earned a PhD. from University of Florida in 2017. He is a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins Center for Humanitarian Health and founder of Southern Sudan Healthcare Organization(ww.sshco.org), which provides health care services, medical supplies, and education to the people of South Sudan.
