Travel back in time and explore methods of paint-making used throughout human history! From the egg tempera paintings of the Renaissance to modern discoveries surrounding plasmonic paints, students in this class will study the work of artists and scientists through the ages. Throughout this course students will create, test, and record their own paint recipes, fully exploring the relationship between pigment and medium and developing a deeper appreciation for the materials they work with.
