The era of custom, hand-made mugs has arrived. Cup and mug shows are everywhere and for good reason: Who doesn't love an amazing mug to start one's day? If you've been working in clay long enough to have interest in making better mugs, then this workshop is for you. During this weekend workshop we will expand up the basics: Mug form, feet, rims, and handles. Our special focus will be on textures and unique shapes that work well with a variety of feet and handles. Day one will be all mug bodies all the time. Day two will be trimming feet and handles. Required skill level: Beginners with at least one class on the wheel, intermediate and above are welcome.

Please note: Due to the time necessary for proper drying and firing of ceramic artwork, students should not expect to bring home finished work at the end of the class. All ceramic pieces will be fired and packaged within 2 weeks of the end of class, and students will be notified via email as soon as they are available for pickup.
