Do you see fashion as a means of expressing your personality and aesthetic? Are you interested in learning new techniques of how to mend, embellish, and personalize your favorite garments? In this camp, we'll harvest native and non-native plants to create dyes, learn traditional mending and darning, including Sashiko stitching, and use sunlight to create cyanotype prints to apply to your clothing. As you gather plants and make your own dyes, you'll create a dye journal, documenting the colors achieved from each plant and the ratios of ingredients used. You will also create a swatch library of stitch types and take home an embellished, one-of-a-kind garment that expresses your personal aesthetic.
