This introductory course welcomes both new and returning students to the Ceramic Studio at The Current. Learn pinch, coil, and slab techniques through the creation of functional and decorative ceramic art. Using patterns and motifs from nature as inspiration, students in this class will explore methods of sculpting, carving, stamping, and glazing their ceramic creations. Each student is provided with one bag of clay for the duration of the class and is entitled to use  the glazes and tools provided in the Ceramic Studio. All clay works will be expertly fired in The Current’s electric kilns.
