Explore the messy magic of the ceramics studio in this hands-on clay class! Students new to working with clay will learn the foundational skills of handbuilding including pinching, coiling, and glazing, while students already familiar with the clay studio will explore the use of texture tools, sculptural building, and painting with slip. This class also explores ceramic traditions of the Middle East and central Asia, comparing and contrasting forms and styles unique to a variety of cultures in the region.
