From Realism to Abstraction explores myriad methods of visual communication, guiding participants on a journey, beginning in a world of concrete imagery before diving deeper into the use of abstracted forms and structures. Throughout this journey, students will uncover the history of abstraction in art, discuss contemporary and historical art pieces, and create their own paintings that meld the recognizable with the inscrutable in a variety of entrancing interactions.
