Stowe’s stunning landscape and magnificent fall foliage will serve as the subject of this landscape painting class. Students will learn how to develop their visual relationship with three-dimensional forms and translate them onto paper using light, shadow, value, and composition. The course will cover basic color mixing, application techniques, and effective painting of light and shadow. Students will gradually develop their skills in various concepts and techniques throughout the sessions. The instructor will provide a demonstration on design and explain acrylic painting tools and techniques. After the demonstration, students will have time to paint while receiving guidance and encouragement.
 
Paint and brushes are provided but students are required to bring their own sketchbooks.
