Have you ever looked at street art and wondered what it would be like to try your hand at stenciling and spray painting? In this class, we will blend mathematics with art as we design and scale ideas for stencils. By breaking down images into manageable pieces, we will learn to see in layers and utilize lettering and hand-cut stencils to create repeating patterns, portraits, and landscapes. You will learn about color value and color balance while refining the fine motor skills and patience needed to cut stencils effectively and then bring your ideas to life with spray paint and markers.
