Learn techniques in wheel throwing with ceramicist Maddy Bertrand Gerndt. Students will learn for the first time or hone their skills in throwing clay on the wheel, steps of throwing clay bodies, and throwing concepts starting with bowl forms, cylinders, vases, closed neck bottles and forms, etc. Participants will also learn how to trim a thrown piece of pottery as well as hand building details such as a pulled handle on a mug. Materials fee included for clay, glazes and kiln firings.
