Farley Aguilar (b. 1980, Managua, Nicaragua) is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Miami. His bold large-scale paintings engage in issues of social justice, restoring dignity to those who have been denied it and reminding us that with creativity and invention often comes destruction. His solo exhibition at The Current will present technological, industrial, and commercial innovation and its impact on vulnerable communities from historical examples to present day AI.
