Learn from local ceramacist Tabbatha Henry how to create 3 mugs: one handbuild, one thrown on the wheel, and one thrown and altered. This is a great introduction to clay, offering experience in all the different ways to work in clay. We'll review basic handbuilding techniques, try some throwing, and then combine the two. Surface treatments will also be explored. We'll look at historical and contemporary examples for inspiration. Excellent for those just beginning their journey with clay or those already on it. Materials fee included for clay, glazes and kiln firings.
