In this class you will learn all about 2D mixed media art. We will be indulging in layering, experimenting, and creative play! You'll explore a variety of 2D materials and media—from stencils, to paint, to cut imagery—as you invent, improvise, and let your imagination guide you. We'll create mixed media artworks on a small and large scale as we explore with color, texture, shape, visual balance, and narrative storytelling techniques. You'll develop both independent and collaborative artmaking skills while working toward a final project to share with friends and family.
