Dive into nature-inspired sculptures by handbuilding with clay. In this course, we will explore new ways of creating  shapes and textures we see in nature, both in our surrounding environment and around the world. Students will learn techniques such as slab rolling, coiling, slip and scoring, and making impressions from objects in nature they find.   
 
Please note: Due to the time necessary for proper drying and firing of ceramic artwork, students should not expect to bring home finished work at the end of the class. All ceramic pieces will be fired and packaged within 2 weeks of the end of class, and students will be notified via email as soon as they are available for pickup.
