These traditional and treasured exhibits bring the community together to celebrate and share the joy of the season. For one month, Helen Day Art Center will once again dedicate our gallery walls to our valued members for the Members' Art Show & Sale. Simultaneously we present the Festival of Trees & Light.

Helen Day Art Center’s Student Art Show exhibits the extraordinary artistic talents of students in the greater Stowe area. The show opens Monday, April 30th and runs through Saturday, May 26th. Stowe Elementary, Middle and High school students exhibit their artwork along with students from guest schools Crossett Brook Middle School, Harwood Union High School and Mountain River School.

The opening reception, on Monday, April 30th from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Art Center, marks its 37th year of exhibiting local students’ work in the galleries. All are welcome. Complimentary ice cream and refreshments will be served. In addition to enjoying the exhibit and tasty treats, reception guests will be invited to participate in an art activity.

The artwork includes a great variety of media and subject matter taught by dedicated art teachers: Jenna Kelly, Stowe Elementary; Tim Waite and Jenn Anthony, Stowe Middle School; Kate Crouse and Carleen Zimbalatti, Stowe High School; Nan Hathaway, Crossett Brook Middle School;  Krista Connolly, Jessica Labonte, and Wendy Peterson, Harwood Union High School, and Jen Volansky, Mountain River School.
