Featuring works from Stowe Elementary School, Stowe Middle School, Stowe High School plus guest schools Montpelier High School, U32 and Spaulding High School.
Helen Day Art Center's Student Art Show exhibits the extraordinary artistic talents of students in the greater Stowe area. The show opens Monday, May 2nd and runs through Sunday, May 29th. Stowe Elementary, Middle and High school students exhibit their artwork along with students from guest schools Montpelier High School and U32. The opening reception on Monday, May 2nd from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Art Center marks its 35th year of exhibiting local students’ work in the galleries. All are welcome. Complimentary ice cream will be served thanks to Stowe Ice Cream. In addition to enjoying the exhibit and tasty treats, reception guests will be invited to participate in an art activity. The artwork includes a great variety of media and subject matter taught by dedicated art teachers: Jen Volansky, Stowe Elementary; Tim Waite and Trina Zide, Stowe Middle School; Kate Crouse and Carleen Zimbalatti, Stowe High School; Barb Austin-Hutchins, Montpelier High School; Kristine Chartrand, Krista Dy, Amy Koenigbauer, and Adrian Wade, U32.
