Join us for Art + Action and explore how art can be used to respond to, and understand, real-world challenges and ideas. By presenting concepts such as environmental change, accessibility, social equity, etc. to students through kid-friendly art projects exposure to various community members, we can create a spark for creative change and passion to make a difference. This class is our bridge between Education and Exhibitions at The Current, with the intention to draw inspiration from the art, or artists, that are being displayed in our gallery during the course.

Throughout the course we invite artists, local organizations, and other professionals, whose work and passions are connected to the overall theme of the course, to lead an interactive / kid-friendly lesson with our students.

This 2027 Spring session of Art + Action will be centered around diversity, empathy, and connection; concepts drawn from, and inspired by, aspects of Farley Aguilar's work that will be on display during the course. There will be more information to come soon in regards to Guest Speakers/Teachers and content specifics.
