This summer The Current is pleased to host a selection of work by the artist members of the historic Robert Blackburn Workshop, the oldest community printshop in the country. Join us on Saturday morning to create prints of your own and explore the legacy of this remarkable institution. We will use linoleum blocks, foam, rubber, and even potatoes to create striking block prints and stamped images on paper and fabric.
Known for its legacy of inclusion and multiculturalism, the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop is a cooperatively run print shop in New York City where artists gather to share skills, trade ideas, and work alongside each other.
