Building upon foundational skills, this class focuses on refining centering, pulling, shaping, and trimming techniques to create more complex forms with precision and intention. Through guided instruction and individualized feedback, participants will explore various vessel shapes, surface decorations, and glazing methods, honing their craftsmanship while cultivating their unique artistic style. This course is designed for those with prior experience in wheel throwing seeking to expand their proficiency and creative repertoire in ceramics.

Please be aware that due to the unpredictable nature of weather in Vermont, some sessions of this class may be canceled or rescheduled. We will do our best to provide 4-6 hours advance notice in the event of a canceled class and prompt communication regarding rescheduled class sessions.

Note: Students enrolled in ceramics classes at The Current receive one bag of clay as a part of their tuition and are granted access to The Current’s Ceramic Open Studio Hours for the duration of the class. Additional clay can be purchased through our website or in The Current’s Main Office.
