Learn the basics of machine sewing in this relaxed, hands-on, three-hour Saturday workshop! Perfect for complete beginners, this class will introduce you to the essentials of using a sewing machine, from threading the needle and winding a bobbin to selecting stitches, adjusting settings, and performing basic maintenance.
 
Through demonstrations and individualized guidance from instructor Sara Opel, participants will build confidence using a sewing machine while creating their own small handbag or tote to take home.
 
Please note: Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine if they have one. Machines will also be available for those who need them.
