Embark on a journey through time and discover the long-standing and dynamic relationship between printmaking and photography! Using the MoMA exhibit “Photography as Printmaking” as a launch pad for a deep exploration of the photographic methods that revolutionized printmaking at the turn of the century, campers this week will investigate historical and alternative photographic processes, create digital and multimedia prints, and investigate the work of modern and contemporary artists in the field such as Jerry Uelsmann, Naomi Savage, and Theresa K. Morrison. Through the use of digital and analog methods, campers this week will push themselves conceptually and mechanically as they blend new and old techniques to create unique and unforgettable works of art.
